The Muwatta of Imam Malik is one of the early extant hadith collections. This meaning that the isnads of its hadiths are short, and the narrators in the isnads are famous Companions and Followers. The focus of the class will be to understand the "story" of each hadith, meaning how and why it went from person-to-person from the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) to us today. This is a fascinating story that builds confidence in our Islamic heritage and helps us develop love for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and the early Muslims (al-salaf al-salih).
This class is for adult learners and is only being taught live on-the-ground in Istanbul.
